John B. Robarge Duplex

The John B. Robarge Duplex is a historic Italianate-style multi-unit residence located at 58-60 North Champlain Street in Burlington, Vermont. Constructed between 1878 and 1879, this 2+1⁄2-story wood-frame building features a symmetrical facade with distinctive architectural elements such as round-arch windows and hip-roofed porches. It stands as one of the few examples of Italianate duplexes in the city and reflects the working-class heritage of the area. The duplex was built by John Robarge, a local blacksmith, and has served as rental property since its inception. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2005, making it a notable site for both tourists and researchers interested in Vermont's architectural history.
