McDaniel Building

The McDaniel Building is a historic commercial structure in Springfield, Missouri, originally constructed in 1911 and remodeled in 1961 in a striking Mid-Century Modern style. This six-story building features buff brick walls and a unique curtain wall façade, making it a notable example of architectural design in the area. It was built on the site of the Baldwin Theater, which was lost to fire, and has played a significant role in the local economy. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2014, the building is currently being redeveloped into 39 apartment units with retail space on the ground floor, showcasing its ongoing importance in Springfield's urban landscape.
