Borderside

Borderside, also known as Brydon Mansion, was a historic Italianate-style house located in Bloomington, Maryland. Constructed in 1870 for coal and lumber dealer William A. Brydon, this 2+1⁄2-story brick structure featured a distinctive 3-story tower with a bell-curve Mansard roof. Although it tragically burned down in the 1970s, Borderside was recognized for its historical significance and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975, making it an interesting site for tourists and researchers interested in Maryland's architectural heritage.
