Commerce Block

The Commerce Block, a historic commercial building in Glenrock, Wyoming, was constructed in 1917 during the oil boom that transformed the region. Originally built for the Glenrock Investment Company, it housed the Glenrock State Bank and various businesses, including a bar, billiard parlor, and drug store. The building also featured the Empress Theater, later renamed the Wyoma Theater, which showcased films until its closure. The two-story brick structure, notable for its terra cotta medallions, has undergone renovations since being listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005. Today, it stands as a testament to Glenrock's rich history and community spirit, making it an interesting stop for tourists and researchers alike.
