Arctic Club Building (Arctic Club Hotel)

Originally built in the early 20th century as the Arctic Club headquarters for businessmen tied to Alaskan commerce and exploration, the building is noted for its richly detailed terra-cotta facade and Beaux-Arts-influenced ornament. Interior and exterior decorative motifs reference polar themes and the club’s association with Arctic ventures. The structure was later converted to the Arctic Club Hotel and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
