Walter B. Sorrells Cottage

The Walter B. Sorrells Cottage is a historic building located on the campus of the Southeastern Arkansas Community Correction Center in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. Constructed in 1920, this two-story structure features a unique blend of brick, stucco, and half-timbering, showcasing Craftsman-style architectural elements. Originally designed by architect Mitchell Seligman, it served as the first permanent building for the Boys Industrial School, a facility for troubled youth. The cottage was recognized for its historical significance and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1986, making it an interesting site for tourists and researchers interested in local history and architecture.
