Japanese Tea Garden (Sunken Gardens)

The Japanese Tea Garden in Brackenridge Park occupies a former limestone rock quarry that was landscaped and opened as a public garden in the early 20th century, featuring stone bridges, a pagoda, a waterfall, and ornamental ponds. Its distinctive stonework and plantings make it a neighborhood landmark in the Museum and Brackenridge Park area. The garden is maintained by the City of San Antonio and includes walking paths and a public café.
