Mission Control Center - managed the first crewed lunar landing

NASA's Mission Control Center in Building 30 at the Johnson Space Center directed Apollo 11 in July 1969, the first time flight controllers on Earth managed a human landing on another celestial body. The MCC coordinated real-time telemetry, guidance, and crew communications during lunar orbit, descent, surface operations, and return to Earth. The facility at JSC continues to serve as a primary flight control center for human spaceflight operations.
