Plumeria (Lao Royal Residence)

Plumeria, located in Luang Prabang, Laos, was once the royal residence of Princess Khampieng and Prince Khamtan, a descendant of King Zakarine from the 19th century. Built by Princess Vanthatmaly, this 33-room boutique property features a historic 1938 residence where the royal couple raised their four children. After Prince Khamtan's tragic death in a plane crash, Princess Khampieng continued to live there until her passing. In 2001, the residence was transformed into a hotel, offering visitors a glimpse into the royal history of Laos.
