Magoffin Home State Historic Site

The Magoffin Home, built between 1875 and 1877 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places, preserves original family furnishings, documents, and artifacts that reflect 19th-century life on the El Paso frontier. The house served as a social and diplomatic hub in the region and contains archival materials used by researchers studying local history. Located in downtown El Paso, the museum is often overlooked by casual visitors despite its significance to regional history. The site is operated as a house museum with guided tours of the interior and grounds.
