Tee Pee Restaurant

The Tee Pee Restaurant, a historic drive-in establishment in Indianapolis, Indiana, opened in 1932 and became a local icon known for its unique teepee-shaped architecture and diverse menu, including famous hamburgers and freshly baked pies. Originally a summer-only venue with no indoor seating, it evolved into a popular dining spot for students and families, featuring Native American motifs. Despite its success and expansion, the restaurant faced challenges in the 1970s as fast food chains emerged. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986 but was ultimately demolished in 1988.
