City-Center

City-Center is a significant urban project in Helsinki, Finland, aimed at transforming a central block into a modern shopping and office complex. Originally designed by architect Viljo Revell in the late 1950s, the plan has seen limited implementation, with the notable exception of the Makkaratalo building, completed in 1967. Known as the 'sausage house' for its distinctive railing, Makkaratalo has become a controversial landmark, often criticized for its aesthetic appeal.
