Buffalo Bayou Park Cistern

The Buffalo Bayou Park Cistern is a decommissioned underground drinking water reservoir beneath Buffalo Bayou Park that was built in 1926 and taken out of service in 2007. The space was adapted and opened to the public as an art and event venue in 2016, hosting site-specific installations and tours. It is recognized as a distinctive example of adaptive reuse within the Buffalo Bayou/Purser neighborhood corridor.
