The Central Park Jogger Case

In 1989, a female jogger was brutally assaulted and raped in Central Park, leading to the wrongful conviction of five teenagers known as the Central Park Five. The case drew national attention to issues of race, justice, and police interrogation tactics. The convictions were later vacated in 2002 after the real perpetrator confessed and DNA evidence confirmed his guilt.
