The Orange Show (created by Jeff McKissack)

The Orange Show is a folk-art monument in Houston built by postal worker Jeff McKissack beginning in the 1950s as a tribute to his favorite fruit and as a personal art environment. McKissack worked on the site over decades, using found materials and mosaics; the site later became the Orange Show Center for Visionary Art, hosting exhibitions and the annual Orange Show Festival. The site is widely cited in studies of outsider and visionary art in Houston.
