Independent Order of Odd Fellows Hall (Ashton, Idaho)

The Independent Order of Odd Fellows Hall, also known as the Ashton State Bank Building, is a historic site in Ashton, Idaho, built in 1907 in the Early Commercial architectural style. This unique building, made of pressed red brick with a sandstone foundation, served as a meeting hall and housed various businesses, including the Ashton State Bank. It features three commercial spaces on the ground floor and a meeting room for the local Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks lodge above. Recognized for its historical significance, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1997 and stands as the only early structure in Ashton that maintains its historic character, reflecting the town's rapid development following the arrival of the Oregon Short Line Railroad in 1905.
