Hinkle Fieldhouse (Butler University)

Hinkle Fieldhouse on Butler University's campus was completed in 1928 and is one of the nation's earliest large-scale fieldhouse designs for basketball and other indoor sports. It was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1987 in recognition of its role in the history of college basketball and its intact early-20th-century arena architecture. The venue has hosted major collegiate events, including NCAA tournament games, and retains much of its historic interior character.
