Victoria Palace

The Victoria Palace, located in Bucharest's Victory Square, serves as the office of the Prime Minister of Romania and his cabinet. Designed by architect Duiliu Marcu in 1937, the building showcases a monumental classical style with Carrara marble facades and intricate interiors. Although it was heavily damaged during World War II, it was restored and reopened in 1952. Following the Romanian Revolution in 1990, it became the headquarters for the new post-communist government. Declared a historical monument in 2004, the Victoria Palace is a significant landmark reflecting Romania's political history and architectural heritage.
