The name '5 Pointz' symbolizes the unity of New York City's five boroughs, and the site featured colorful murals created by over 200 artists. Despite its popularity, the building was controversially demolished in 2014 to make way for residential development, sparking protests and legal battles over the destruction of the artwork.
