Marsh-Johnson House

The Marsh-Johnson House, also known as the Robert Johnson House, is a historic log farmhouse located near Saluda, South Carolina, built around 1817. This two-story structure features a weatherboard exterior, a brick foundation, and a distinctive one-story shed-roofed porch supported by rough-hewn tree trunks. Recognized as one of the earliest intact log residences in the state, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982. Currently owned by the Saluda County Historical Society, efforts are underway to restore the house for use as a historic house museum, making it an intriguing destination for tourists and researchers interested in early American architecture and history.
