African Meeting House

The African Meeting House, built in 1806, is the oldest surviving Black church building in the United States. It served as a central meeting place for Boston's African-American community and for abolitionist activity in the 19th century. The building hosted speakers and community events tied to the anti-slavery movement and is now part of the Museum of African American History's campus on Beacon Hill.
