Frist Art Museum (former U.S. Post Office)

The Frist Art Museum occupies the former U.S. Post Office and Federal Building constructed in 1933–1934 in an Art Deco style. The building was renovated and reopened as the Frist Center for the Visual Arts in 2001 and now hosts rotating exhibitions and educational programs. The conversion preserved many historic interior and exterior architectural features of the original federal building.
