Evergreen on the Falls

Evergreen on the Falls, also known as the Snyder-Carroll House, is a historic 19th-century mansion located in Baltimore, Maryland, overlooking the scenic Jones Falls valley. Built around 1860 in a rural Victorian Italianate style, this 2+1⁄2-story brick house was once the residence of Albert H. Carroll, the supervisor of the Mount Vernon Mills. Although a serious fire in the early 1970s damaged much of its interior, the house remains a significant landmark and is currently the headquarters of the Maryland Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1975, making it a noteworthy destination for tourists and researchers interested in Maryland's architectural and social history.
