Columbus Board of Trade Building

The Columbus Board of Trade Building, constructed in 1889, was a significant architectural landmark in Downtown Columbus, Ohio, designed in a blend of Richardsonian Romanesque and Gothic Revival styles. Located on Capitol Square, opposite the Ohio Statehouse, it featured a grand façade with arched windows and a monumental entrance, symbolizing the city's commercial strength. The building served as the headquarters for the Columbus Chamber of Commerce until its vacancy in 1964, followed by its demolition in 1969. Today, the site is occupied by the Rhodes State Office Tower, marking the transition of this historic location.
