Bayley Hotel

The Bayley Hotel, completed in 1862 and located in Pilot Hill, California, is a historic site recognized for its classical revival architecture and its significance as the first Grange Hall in California. Originally built by attorney Alcander John Bayley after his previous hotel burned down, it features a grand ballroom and 22 guest rooms. Although it was never used as a hotel, it served as a private residence and later became a general store. The hotel fell into disrepair but is now the focus of restoration efforts by the Friends of The Bayley House, with plans to transform it into a museum and cultural center.
