Spreckels Organ Pavilion (Balboa Park)

The Spreckels Organ Pavilion in Balboa Park was completed in 1914 and houses one of the world’s largest outdoor pipe organs, donated by sugar magnate John D. Spreckels. The organ has 5,017 pipes and the pavilion was constructed to host civic music events for the Panama-California Exposition. The site has offered regular public organ concerts and special performances for more than a century.
