Originally serving as a wagon and carriage shop, the building has also functioned as a harness shop, hardware store, and farm supply store before becoming a bank in 1982. Its historical significance was recognized when it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1992, making it an interesting site for tourists and researchers alike.
