Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign

Designed by graphic artist Betty Willis and erected in 1959, the 'Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas' sign is a steel-and-neon roadside landmark on the south end of the Las Vegas Strip. The sign was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2009 and is owned and maintained by the City of Las Vegas. It occupies a median on Las Vegas Boulevard and is a widely recognized symbol of the city and a popular photo location for visitors.
