Arnold Arboretum - living museum and local greenway

The Arnold Arboretum of Harvard University, established in 1872, is a 281-acre public arboretum in Boston's Jamaica Plain/Roslindale area that functions as both a living museum and research collection. It is one of the oldest public arboreta in North America and is open free to the public year-round; locals commonly use its paths for running, birdwatching, and seasonal plant-study walks.
