Brindley Farm

Brindley Farm, also known as Crooked Billet, is a historic home and farm located near Wilmington, Delaware. Built around 1750, this 2+1⁄2-story stone structure features later additions, including rear wings and a modern side porch. The property includes a frame barn and carriage house from 1807 and has been owned by only two families since its construction, with the Du Pont family acquiring it in 1864. Once functioning as an inn or tavern, Brindley Farm was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1976, making it a significant site for both tourists and researchers interested in early American history.
