Union Market (Northeast)

The Union Market building at 1309 5th Street NE opened in 1931 as the Union Terminal Market and served as a wholesale food market for the city. Beginning in 2012 the site underwent redevelopment and has since been transformed into a year-round food hall and marketplace that hosts dozens of local vendors, restaurants, and seasonal events. The complex functions as a commercial and cultural hub for Northeast D.C., drawing both neighborhood residents and visitors.
