Coffin House

The Coffin House, a historic Colonial American structure in Newbury, Massachusetts, dates back to around 1678 and is operated as a museum by Historic New England. Originally a modest two or three-room dwelling, it underwent significant expansions in the early 18th century and was divided into two separate homes in 1785. The house has been preserved as a testament to early American architecture and family heritage, remaining in the Coffin family until 1929. Visitors can explore this fascinating piece of history on select Saturdays from June to October.
