Andhra Pradesh Secretariat

The Andhra Pradesh Secretariat, located in Velagapudi, serves as the administrative headquarters for the Government of Andhra Pradesh. Established after the state's bifurcation in 2014, it includes the Interim Government Complex (IGC), operational since October 2016, and the planned Amaravati Government Complex (AGC), designed by renowned architect Norman Foster. The IGC is a temporary hub for governance, while the AGC aims to be a sustainable, modern capital. The Secretariat comprises 36 departments, each managed by a Secretary, and plays a crucial role in implementing government policies and public services.
