Flamingo Hotel - early Strip luxury dining

The Flamingo Hotel opened on December 26, 1946, on what became the Las Vegas Strip. Founded by Billy Wilkerson and later developed by Benjamin "Bugsy" Siegel, the Flamingo was one of the first resorts to offer upscale dining and nightclub entertainment aimed at wealthy visitors. Its restaurants and bars helped set a template for integrated resort dining and nightlife on the Strip.
