Originally built as a stagecoach stop and post office, it played a significant role during the Civil War, serving as a hospital for Union soldiers. Over the years, it transformed into a ten-room hotel, accommodating soldiers and travelers along Route 66. After years of neglect, local citizens formed a nonprofit to restore the building, which is now a house museum showcasing its history. Visitors can explore the restored rooms and learn about the area's heritage from April to September.
