John Kennel Jr. Farm

John Kennel Jr. Farm is a historic house located near Trenton, Ohio, recognized for its architectural significance and rich history. Built in 1876, the farmhouse features red brick construction and a stone foundation, with later additions including a kitchen and bedroom from the 1930s. The property once supported grape and pear cultivation and housed a unique pecan tree, notable for being the only nut-bearing tree of its kind in Ohio. The farm is situated near Native American burial grounds and artifacts, such as arrowheads, have been discovered on-site, adding to its historical intrigue. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on August 3, 1984.
