Mountain View Adobe

The Mountain View Adobe is a historic multi-purpose structure located in Mountain View, California, recognized for its architectural and cultural significance. Built in 1934 as part of a New Deal project during the Great Depression, this adobe brick building served various community functions over the decades, including a serviceman's club during WWII and a teen center in the late 1940s. After a period of neglect, a community campaign successfully restored the building, which now operates as an event center featuring modern amenities while preserving its historic charm. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2002 and is a designated California Historical Landmark, making it a notable site for tourists and researchers interested in local history and architecture.
