High Breeze Farm

High Breeze Farm, also known as Barrett Farm, is a historic site located in Vernon Township, New Jersey, offering a glimpse into 19th-century farming practices. Established in 1828, the farm was continuously operated by the Barrett family until 1986, maintaining traditional subsistence farming methods without modern conveniences. Now part of Wawayanda State Park, it features a restored farmhouse, barns, and historic farm equipment, serving as a living history museum. Visitors can explore the farm's offerings of Certified Naturally Grown produce and participate in events like the Black Powder Association's reenactments and maple syrup boiling celebrations. The farm is also a scenic destination for hikers, with access to extensive trails, including a section of the Appalachian Trail.
