Aten Reign (James Turrell) at the Guggenheim

Aten Reign is a site-specific installation by James Turrell installed in the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum's rotunda and exhibited in 2013. Turrell transformed the museum's spiral rotunda with layered fields of colored light using a temporary structure that altered the space's light and perception. The work is widely cited as one of Turrell's major immersive light installations and engaged the museum's architecture as part of the artwork.
