The Divine Lorraine (Willis G. Hale's ornate apartment/hotel)

Designed by Willis G. Hale and completed in the 1890s as the Lorraine Apartments, the building is distinguished by its ornate terra-cotta façade and late-19th-century decorative detail. In 1948 it became the Divine Lorraine Hotel under the International Peace Mission movement led by Father Divine and was noted for being racially integrated during that era. After decades of vacancy, the building was rehabilitated and reopened for residential and commercial use in the 2010s, preserving its distinctive exterior.
