Stonybrook Estate Historic District

The Stonybrook Estate Historic District, located in Middletown, Rhode Island, is a remarkable historic site that showcases the grandeur of early 20th-century summer estates. Built in 1928 in the late Gothic Revival style by renowned architect Horace Trumbauer for Edward C. Knight, Jr., this estate features an impressive main house along with beautifully landscaped grounds, a carriage house, guest cottages, a gate house, and a gardener's cottage.
