Georg von Rauch Haus

Georg von Rauch Haus is a historic squat located in Kreuzberg, Berlin, established in 1971 and named after activist Georg von Rauch. Originally part of the Bethanien hospital, the building was repurposed from a derelict nunnery into a vibrant center for left-wing and countercultural movements. The occupation began with a significant event at the Technische Universität Berlin, where a concert and teach-in led to 300 individuals squatting the site.
