San Francisco Botanical Garden - Golden Gate Park living collection

The San Francisco Botanical Garden occupies approximately 55 acres in Golden Gate Park at 1199 9th Avenue and contains thousands of plant species from around the world. The garden maintains organized collections-such as high-elevation tropical, magnolia, and Mediterranean-climate plantings-and offers public education programs and guided walks for residents and visitors. Local gardeners and school groups regularly use the site for classes and seasonal plant displays. The garden is managed by the San Francisco Recreation & Parks Department in partnership with nonprofit supporters.
