Woonsocket District Courthouse

The former Woonsocket District Courthouse, located at 24 Front Street in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, is a historic building designed in 1894 in the Romanesque style by architects William R. Walker & Son. Completed in 1896, it originally served as the court for the Twelfth Judicial District. After various consolidations, the courthouse was sold to the city in 1992 and later transformed into residential condos known as the Courthouse Condos. The building showcases a blend of Richardsonian Romanesque and Classical architectural elements and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982, making it a notable site for both tourists and researchers interested in local history and architecture.
