The Cruise Room at The Oxford Hotel (opened after Prohibition)

The Cruise Room is an art-deco cocktail lounge located inside The Oxford Hotel in downtown Denver. The bar opened at 12:01 a.m. on December 5, 1933, immediately after the repeal of Prohibition; it claims to have been the first bar to reopen following repeal, a claim that has been debated. The room retains its original art-deco decor and is tucked behind the hotel lobby, giving it a tucked-away, hard-to-find feel.
