Smithland Farm

Smithland Farm, also known as the General John McCausland Memorial Farm, is a historic site located near Henderson in Mason County, West Virginia. Built in 1869, the main house features a two-story frame structure with a distinctive side-gabled design. The property includes several historical outbuildings such as a corncrib, silo, and barns, reflecting agricultural practices from the early to mid-20th century. This farm was once owned by Confederate General John McCausland and is now recognized for its historical significance, having been listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2003.
