Hobart City Hall

Hobart City Hall is a prominent public auditorium and concert venue located in Hobart, Tasmania. Opened in 1915, it has a rich history of hosting diverse events, from boxing matches to royal balls. With a seating capacity of 5,000, it has served as a key venue for significant occasions, including the 1949 Australian Basketball Championships and the Festival of Voices. Interestingly, despite its name, it is not the seat of government for the City of Hobart, which is located at the historic Hobart Town Hall. The building also played a crucial role during emergencies, such as the 2013 Tasmanian bushfires.
