Gas Works Park (former Seattle Gas Light plant)

Gas Works Park preserves the industrial structures of the former Seattle Gas Light Company plant and was converted into a public park designed by landscape architect Richard Haag. The park opened to the public in 1975 and is noted for integrating remnants of gasification equipment into its landscape design. It is a prominent public green space with panoramic views of Lake Union and the city skyline.
