The Franklin Institute (interactive science landmark)

The Franklin Institute, founded in 1824 and located on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, is one of the United States' oldest centers for science education and public exhibits. Its building houses the Benjamin Franklin National Memorial in the rotunda and long-running interactive exhibits such as the Giant Heart and the Fels Planetarium. The museum regularly hosts traveling exhibitions and public programs that combine scientific education with large-scale, creative display design.
