Ken Griffey Jr. number retirement

The Seattle Mariners retired Ken Griffey Jr.'s No. 24 in a ceremony on August 13, 2016 at Safeco Field (now T-Mobile Park). Griffey is a Baseball Hall of Famer who played the majority of his career with the Mariners. The team raised his number to the stadium facade as part of the retirement ceremony. Griffey's number retirement is honored at the ballpark's public displays and team history areas.
